Hey, if all you want is free software, you're gonna have to wait for it.  Clearly, you enjoy criticizing others—and I'm pretty sure that's all you can do—but it won't be allowed on our forums any longer.  If there's anything else you want to share with us, please watch your mouth. ;-)

hmmmm wow

I am quite shocked ... well, I can definitely and readily admit in honesty to being fairly critical, but i am sorry that I cannot admit to being rude where I may need to "watch my mouth". I do not believe I was rude to anyone, much less anyone who runs this website or the Dynarch company itself. I was just asking a simple question and quite possibly the LEVEL OF IRONY within the question may have been too well stated, but I did employ the irony to put forth a very plain point. Honestly I really don't care, and I am not the kind of person to "squabble" about such silly things on web forums so you really have nothing to worry about from me. However, when I made my initial posts on this forum (all 3 or 4 of them) ... at no time did I ever suspect or think that I would get such INCREDIBLY RUDE replies from you ...

While I believe that I was only asking simple questions and while I believe that I was in NO WAY being derogatory or disrespectful towards Dynarch or to any person in particular, I have no problems at all "watching my mouth". Upon reading YOUR replies, however, you can feel safe and assured that you have nothing further to worry about from me. Suddenly, beyond the already-obvious fact of INCREDIBLY HIGH QUALITY SOFTWARE (or why else would I have been compelled to come here in the first place?) .... I no longer feel that same positive compulsion to continue writing here, and much less, to, or with you...

(quite shocked)

First of all I'd like to thank you for offering such a great editor for free (well not only the editor)!
Although it's really sad that HTMLArea doesn't get developed any further I can understand your decision and have to say that to me it's still the best editor around.
That said, I must admit that having HTMLArea running on Opera 9 would be really great and I am looking forward for you to release the new version.

Without meaning to bug you is there anything you can tell about when the release will be available?

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Dee
