Ok, for reasons known only to the Gods, Lotus Domino will not server any file called shadow.*

This is not documented in any place I can find, but I've tested it with a bunch of diferent file types.

So, what do I need to change the name of the files used for drop shadows?

Absolutely funny! :)

Sorry but I didn't consider this possibility, so there is no easy way to change the shadow file name, other by editing the hmenu.js file itself (which might not be easy as, depending on your license, it may be stripped of white-space).

The string "shadow.png" should only appear in one place--try changing it to "shadow-1.png".  You should also change this in "hmenu.css", in order to have the shadow image preloaded in Internet Explorer.

If you still need assistance, I will be able to help only on Monday as I am on vacation.  Please let me know how it goes.

It was easy enough to replace the shadow.png file. However, I'm now finding that the drop shadow is not working right when its over an active-x object such as microsofts OWC. I see the background image of the page under the shadow, rather then the active-x interface.

Ah well,
