Version 2.7, released on 2005/07/01

Added an option to disable mouseover effects, which can be useful when the navbar sections contain a background image.  End-users who have set the Internet Explorer "cache" to always request the page from Internet will see flickering on section titles, but disabling mouseover effects will alleviate the problem.  Fortunately, this setting is not the default in Internet Explorer.

Version 2.6, released on 2005/05/03

Implemented a small new feature that allows one to have NavBar sections with no body and no expand/collapse functionality and just use the title as a link.

Version 2.5, released on 2005/02/01

Version 2.5 adds some nice features such as tab buttons or the “sticky” button directly in the control bar (requested by one of our customers). NavBar sections can now contain plain HTML instead of the usual items.

You can now specify the link target on a “per-item” basis. Additionally, items can now execute arbitrary JavaScript code--they are not limited to URL-s anymore. Just pass a reference to the function handler in place of the URL.

We finally distribute a high quality skin that closely resembles the Windows XP Explorer menus style. Check it out, it's amazing.

The new version makes it easy to use custom icons without modifying the original ones (just put them in a separate folder and pass its URL to NavBar). Documentation is largely improved.

New browsers support: NavBar is now functional in IE5.0 (it doesn't look great though, no PNG). Also, Apple Safari is officially supported (excellent support, including animation and fading effects).

Version 2.4, released on 2003/10/17

The first public release of NavBar.
